January 2015

Looking back at January....

I'm still committed to the Photo 365 project, taking pictures that capture slices-of-our life.  I know how photos can reignite a memory and so my eye is looking through the lens to find those images that chronicle the daily-ness...tell our story.

From this sunny spot in Steuby, we homeschooled.  It is also where we celebrated my birthday.

50 white roses from my husband and a cake with white roses from my College boy and pink roses from my parents and there was snow...every day.  So much lovely white-ness!

When we got cold, we stayed in warm rooms of streaming sunshine. It's not uncommon to see certain people in this house moving into these sunny spots, like a cat seeking to soak up some Vitamin D.

For others, we drank warm things.  While College boy was home on break, he and I went out for a Middle Eastern lunch, complete with Turkish Coffee.

And something else I must recommend is the best tea I've ever had.  This is the favorite tea of Lord Wedgwood, his choice ingredients and I could not believe how good it was!

As genteel as tea drinking may sound, this is a goofy house with kid whimsy, too. A slice -of-life can surprise where one least expects it.

A memorable January! My next post will be about the last day of January 2015 and that milestone day for our family.
