Random Photography Summertime Challenge
Renee couldn't have picked a better icon for her photo posts, in my opinion. And, I think she knew that! :) Yes, I equate the pleasures of summer not complete without having enjoyed a few, frozen splendors....
This is my first entry in her Random Photography Summertime Challenge as I am not feeling like my pics are making much progress lately....so much to learn.
Below, however, is a smattering of images I'd like to remember from our summer...so far....
In a walk down memory lane, we spent a wonderful Saturday with neighbor friends I had grown up with and at their indoor pool! I hope my children remember all the sentimental stories I told them that day of my glorious childhood. Every family needs a raconteur , hopefully one of them will be ours.
Summer Sundays have been spent at my parent's home, where we swim during the day and then have a family dinner together. After dinner, while the children have a night swim and my husband either heads off to play on his hockey team or sometimes stays with us and plays the guitar, we sit around the pool and reminisce. At some point, we notice that my mom has sneaked off and realize that our surroundings have become a midsummer's night dream....aglow. Tea candles on rocks up-light flowers... twinkling table scenes... and we are enchanted by the mood she has created.

How fun! My husband is learning to play guitar. Another thing in common...if we lived near each other, we'd be the best of friends! Or are we too similar??
