That image of Mary holding her Son.....

My 4 year old daughter was in my arms, on the couch today as we watched the old version, Jesus of Nazareth. At the crucifixion, with Our Blessed Mother Mary she began to cry. (How can you not?)

"Why did they kill Jesus? I am sooo sad" she cried. I cried with her as she quickly recovered, "We'll just have to wait till Sunday!"

O, how my heart goes out to my Mother, Mary ... filled with love for my Lord.

That image of Our Lady holding Our Lord.

Mother and Son.

She through whom all Graces flow and The Redeemer.

I know the scene very well. We watched the very movie a few months ago as part of Declans Religion class. It is a very moving scene and the actress played it very well!

We spent 12-3 praying the Sorrowful Mysteries and listening to the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in Song. It was a very calm and reflecting afternoon. Tomorrow we make Hot Cross Buns for Easter!

Oh, I know! When I watched the Passion last night, the scene of Mary running to Jesus when He fell and then the flashbacks of Him as a child falling, I just wept ... She said, "I am here, I am here." And He said, "Look, Mother, I make all things new." And then the scene when she looked for where He was in the prison cell, and she put her face to the ground and then you saw Him directly below. Oh my gosh! Their bond was so beautiful, so strong! Oh, I am getting teary-eyed just writing this ...

I watched the Passion with my dh on Good Friday and I could not breath after all the tears.

Of course it was Our Mother that moved me the most.
