Thankful Thursday ~ Our first Little Flowers
What a joy to have a little girl.
I thought of myself as a boy-mommy, with my house full of men, love my 3 sons! But God has gifted me with a daughter to fulfill my dreams and share girly things.
Last week was the first time my daughter and I attended a Little Flowers girls' club among our Catholic homeschooling friends. "Little Flowers Girls' Club® is a Catholic program for girls ages 5 and up based on learning Catholic virtues through the lives of Catholic saints, Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. "

It began with an adorable, Saint Valentine's tea party for the girls.
Napkins on their laps... in their pretty dresses.
Our amazing hostess set a beautiful table and read to the little ladies. They listened quietly to a story about St. Valentine, a book about Corinthians scripture, LOVE IS... and discussed what the virtue of Charity looks like.
Afterwards, the table was cleared for crafts, Valentine cards were made for their priests. Just a charming day!

I am praying for a healthy baby, but secretly would be pleased to have a little girl this time. That party looked lovely!
What a special activity for you and your daughter to do together! I have heard so much about Little Flowers; I have to look into it for my daughters.
That looks like such a lovely idea! I teach boys and girls but in separate classes - so an all girls and an all boys class- of course I love both but there is something wonderful about little girls!
You are so blessed to have this group! We don't have any nearby and I am looking into what is involved with starting one...Theresa
What a fun first meeting! I loved seeing the pictures! I am so glad your daughter gets to participate in Little Flowers!! My girls and I have been enjoying it so very much this year!!
That was so fun. My girls loved every minute of it. It was great to have you and your daughter there. I can not wait for the next meeting. You better be wearing the green.

Oh so fun! What a wonderful time for the girls at a special Little Flower day. Enjoy these moments with your daughter, so special. I love your new banner too, well at least it's the first time I've been able to "see" it since being off and online again. Hugs!
