Scenes from Sunday - Passiontide Shrouding & Sermon Notes

Passion Sunday reminds us of sacrifice. We only have the value of one life to give...

Yet Jesus offered Himself,  His Divinity...how much greater His Sacrifice.
Sermon Notes - Rev. James L. Bartoloma, JCL Chancellor of the Diocese of Camden
He used His human mortality to redeem us. Christ won salvation for us, suffered for us, experienced death for us. He loved us...even unto death.

What good would life have been for us if Christ had not come to redeem us?

Today's reading from Hebrews 9 -
"how much more shall the Blood of Christ,
who, by the Holy Ghost, offered Himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God? And therefore He is the Mediator of the new Testament: that by means of His death, for the redemption of those transgressions which were under the former Testament,
they that are called may receive the promise of eternal inheritance, in Christ Jesus our Lord."
