Like peas and carrots....
Scrapping and blogging go together like peas and carrots, she says in her best Forrest Gump impression.
Renee has a post up about her love of scrapbooking. I too enthusiastically embraced the craft and started making books for my children years ago. I think I will always be attached to ideas that create a legacy and capture memories...and that's why I blog, as well.
Recently, with the arrival of digital photography and Shutterfly, I have leaned toward's it's convenience. My photos are online and there's no scissoring, less supplies and I can make yearly albums for my family in multiples with the click of a button....and as event gifts. They are not as elaborate in most cases as my old work, but still, the children LOVE paging through them. Here are some Shutterfly memory book examples....

Now, through the "slurping" process Renee led me to, I am even turning my blog into a yearly book!
But yes, there was a time when I got-sticky-with-stuff and was a faithful, quarterly patron of Creative Memories...
And now, there's a marriage... http://www.scrapblog.com/

Those books are SO cool!! Wow, how fun! How much are the books? Are they pretty spendy? Just curious. I like the blog in a book idea too, how cool is that? It becomes a journal then. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Those books look professionally done. Great job. It seems like they would be very difficult to do but I like them a lot. Thanks for the very neat idea.
These books are FABULOUS!
Spellbinding! Thanks so much for sharing with everyone your love of memory making too, and for passing along the great scrapblog site. There is a great treasure in being able to make an album FAST, using simple techniques and with the digital age, it's satisfyingly simple to get it done. Bravo my friend! Nice post! A kindred spirit....again. LOL
Thanks ladies, they are loved by my family.
The nice part of keeping memories like this is that you're always reliving the good times!
Jamie, if you look up www.shutterfly.com and their photobooks they have a variety of prices, sizes and covers that effect pricing. Often, they have a 20% or 30% off coupon. When I make my Christmas gift ones, I have my other siblings send me their yearly photos and when I make the album for parents and grandmother's we divide the cost among us. Recipients say it's the only gift they want, from me, and to make one every year of our family year...vacation...birthday party...etc..
Thanks, as always, friends for your kind words.
I gotta add to the kind words! I am impressed. You have a beautiful family though to make pretty pictures. I do admire your creativity.
Family, fun, photos and memories are really what life is about.
I have 14 albums ---each one representing each year of my marriage......full of memories. I do like those books though.
Thanks for the info....another reason why I like this blogging stuff.
Those are beautiful. Great ideas. Thanks again for your creative side to inspire others! I better start working on ours! Four children there is lots to catch up! God bless, Friend!
I can't help but mention that I am a Creative Memories Consultant and we have software that allows you to do all that traditional scrapbooking on your computer with your digital photos. It's called Storybook. You can pick a template and just drag and drop your photos into it and add optional text. Very similar to Shutterfly's. But with Storybook Plus(tm) you can get the digital kit where you can move things around in the template and add punches, tags, digital stickers, etc. I just love it! It's very easy to do, and it costs less than creating a traditional scrapbook with all the glue and stickers, etc.
I invite you to check out all these options at my website:

[For any Mad TV fans] it takes what you've done here to a "whole nother level!"
I did want to say I love your blog album. I just might have to consider it for myself. Wow!
okay - this totally caught my attention: making a scrapbook of your BLOG!???? Oh do give the details, please :o)
Love the blog scrapbook idea :)
The slurping of the blog is soooo easy....it just all transfers over! For the life of me, even though I did it for my blog anniversary in May, I can't remember the name.
Go over to Renee at Go East, they said blog. She told me how to do it after she "slurped" a handful of books of her blog. Look at the right side column some ways down and she has photos.
I am so glad to have found your blog dedicated to the Love of Jesus.
My English is not quite good, but I am very happy to see that you also try to live the beautiful Ad Jesum per Mariam.
Let us say: Tota tua ergo sum, Oh Maria, et omnia mea tua sunt.
