Irena Sendler was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, but lost...
to Al Gore's film.

All I can say is "wow!" I am going to look forward to meeting her in Heaven! Among the many saints, that is, but you know? What a wonderful sacrifice she made.

What a kick in all that is holy and sacred to lose to Al Gore's dum dum film.
