What a thorough,...Thank you so much for linking up! What a thorough, informative post. You are right that there are so many curricula out there that it can be hard to find the right one. We use a hybrid program called Aquinas Learning. The girls are in "school" one day a week. It's our fourth year and I really like it. It's God to know what else is out there, though, in case we ever need to switch.

I hope you'll link up again! I look forward to learning more from you.vkochishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13157992549647251588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8467184516054189174.post-56975318736804003192016-09-24T21:57:59.053-04:002016-09-24T21:57:59.053-04:00We are HUGE fans of CHC! We used less last year, as I tried a couple other curriculum options, and we've come back to it this year, to my daughters' great excitement. Like you, I love the way the faith is woven throughout everything they are learing, from science to handwriting. (I've said a few times that our Catholic schools should be using CHC or Catholic curriculum!) Thanks for sharing what works for you and why. It's always great to see other ideas. :)Bonnie Way aka the Koala Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11601183003333359031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8467184516054189174.post-77118870688073530132014-03-12T02:15:43.334-04:002014-03-12T02:15:43.334-04:00Thank you so much for your blog. We have a 1 year old boy and another very soon on his way, but we're very interested in homeschooling them. We too would like a "very" catholic program. I'm sure the other programs are great, but it's pretty obvious there definitely is a difference in level of laxness! Our #1 pick is OLVS, and even though we still have many years till we start them in school, its a good idea to get our feet a little wet. Thank you so much, I will be recommending OLVSEdgarnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8467184516054189174.post-52865156080205171022013-06-05T22:43:41.150-04:002013-06-05T22:43:41.150-04:00Also please keep in mind the CatechismClass.com on...Also please keep in mind the CatechismClass.com online programs!Matthewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07929374709032473716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8467184516054189174.post-51679163773792904502010-03-16T16:50:44.420-04:002010-03-16T16:50:44.420-04:00Great post JMJ! But thanks for fleshing out other options for me, as I know my husband and I are going to want to "enroll" our children too as they get older...

Have you ever checked into Kolbe? I liked their philosophy (sounds very similar to the ones you highlight) in that you can add or change curriculum with some flexibility. I like that over what seems to be more rigid standards in other curriculums.PattyinCThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04286757995048861826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8467184516054189174.post-47762858517191444012010-03-14T15:22:07.495-04:002010-03-14T15:22:07.495-04:00Great post!!! I look forward to reading your opinion of Setons and enjoyed reading about the other programs. Maybe we can use some of them in the future!Scoobyloves2004https://www.blogger.com/profile/03282484197204359911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8467184516054189174.post-76353682560259071352010-03-13T18:20:56.794-05:002010-03-13T18:20:56.794-05:00This post is great! My son is just 3 1/2 but for the past few months I've been reading everything I can on homeschooling.

My husband and I just discovered TLM a few months ago and absolutely love it! I feel like I finally feel like I'm "home" at Mass. It is so nice to leave mass inspired instead of fuming over what father did, said, or allowed during Mass. I've enjoyed reading your blog, especially your posts on TLM :)

ElizabethElizabethnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8467184516054189174.post-54639952346789260502010-03-12T21:26:16.823-05:002010-03-12T21:26:16.823-05:00As a newbie to homeschooling, this will be tremend...As a newbie to homeschooling, this will be tremendously helpful!
